Featured Instrument - European spruce/ CSA rosewood

It was an honor to work with guitarist, recording artist and educator Adam Levin to create a new concert guitar for his collection. Adam visited my shop while performing in the Pacific Northwest and with his discerning eye was quickly drawn to this well-quartered and understated set of Brazilian rosewood. We paired it with an aged European spruce top with bracing inspired by Jeffrey Elliott’s open harmonic bar design. Adam and I had great fun designing the rosette which carries a personal, albeit abstracted meaning referencing an important event in his life. The rosette, custom purfling and stripe detail are made of Pacific yew, holly, ebony and Castello boxwood. Custom Rodgers tuners recalling my headstock design, an extended fretboard and soundport with magnetic cover complete the package.
